I was born on the 23rd September 1961 in Baia Mare, Romania.
My interest for the arts began at a young ageand was mainly influenced by my father's passion for photography.
My first childhood teacher was Ágoston Véső, the painter on whose advice I began my studies at the High School of Fine Arts in Baia Mare where I had the opportunity to learn from several famous artists, including Judit Craciun and Gyula Dudás.
Same as art, sports were also a big part of my life. Often times because of my professional sports career, the artist in me had to take second place.
In 1989 however, when my family an I moved to Hungary, my love for painting truly started to materialize and I embarked on an exciting and later very fulfilling journey of “self teaching”.
In 2009 I had the opportunity to enroll into the Cluj-Napoca University of Fine Arts and later in 2012 graduate with a Faculty diploma of Fine Arts making one of my childhood dreams come true and laying the my first stepping stone in the world of professional art. I remember the most fulfilling moment after graduating was my first joint exhibition with my high school masters. I will never forget that day.
In 2016, I obtained my Master's with Excellence Degree and had my first personal exhibition.
Soon after in 2017 I joined the Romanian Artists Association.
In 2018 I had my second and third individual exhibition in Baia Mare and in 2019 I my first solo exhibition in Hungary.
For me, returning to Transylvania meant “Barbizon”. Here I can express my feelings crossing out the noise of the big city from my work. In my paintings I focus on depicting natural landscape as well as the micro and macro world of plants.
From 2010 to today I was able to show my work at nearly 100 group paintings and photo exhibitions as well as participated in several painters’ camps in Romania, Hungary, France, Norway and Argentina.
My works can be found in the Baia Mare Museum of Fine Arts, galleries in Hungary and Romania, or with private collectors in Hungary, Romania, England, America, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates.
